SALA Ambassadors to Pas Normal Studios: Alex and Sarah
Over the past two years here at SALA, we have seen plenty of evolution. We've added more opening hours, rides, bikes, and more. No matter what changes, though, supporting the local cycling community remains at the heart of what we do.
That is why we are so excited to announce our new SALA Ambassadors to Pas Normal Studios! Alex and Sarah, two longtime SALA community members, will now act as our local representatives for all things PNS.
Their role, other than generally being the awesome cyclists and humans that they are, will include supporting on more rides and other events, embodying the values of the two brands, and providing intel and expertise along the way. Basically, it means you will see them around more often and should feel free to approach them with cycling questions or just for a chat.
To get the conversation started, we've asked them a few questions of our own. So read on to get to know these two local legends better, and don't forget to say hi to them next time you see them around.

What brings you the most joy in cycling?
Going fast on a downhill with a random song in my head (most of the time it's Nelly Furtado's "I’m Like a Bird").
What’s your biggest challenge or current goal in cycling?
Biggest challenge was to finish my first ultra race this year. Not sure where the journey is going in the next years but what's for sure is that I want to keep having fun on the bike.
What’s your go-to/favorite PNS product?
On-bike: Mechanism Pro Jersey and Bibs. Off-bike: Musette (to always have snacks and water with me) and the Off-Race Cotton Cap.
What advice would you give a rookie?
Just jump on that bike and see where it takes you. Have fun. Stay hydrated. Eat.
What’s something that you love doing off-the-bike?
Strolling around with friends from one coffee spot to another one, reading books, fashion, and music.
What’s your favorite post-ride treat?
Cold Paulaner Spezi and cheese cake. Or good old Vitamin Well straight from the discount fridge.

What brings you the most joy in cycling?
Two things bring me the most joy in cycling: the amazing community we have at SALA and the feeling of freedom I get when I’m on my bike. I’m passionate about discovering new places, riding up mountain passes, and meeting great people along the way.
What’s your biggest challenge or current goal in cycling?
My current goal is to finish a bike race as part of a team. I wasn’t able to finish my last race due to a mechanical issue, so I’m really looking forward to getting back out there and experiencing the feeling of achieving something together.
What’s your go-to/favorite PNS product?
My first PNS Mechanism jersey! I instantly fell in love with the fit, as well as the color and design.
What advice would you give a rookie?
Always fuel both on and off the bike! Proper fueling gives you the strength and power to enjoy your rides and keep pushing further.
Hobby off-the-bike?
I really enjoy cooking, especially together with my husband.
What’s your favorite post-ride treat?
In summer definitely a good ice cream, and in winter a hot shower!
