MAURTEN Hydrogel Gel 100 

The Swedish brand Maurten offers a variety of sports nutrition products. It was named after Mårten, a triathlete and family friend of the company's founder and entrepreneur Olof Sköld. In 2015, Maurten took on the challenge and developed the next generation of sports nutrition. Maurten's motto is: "Back to the essentials - nothing more and nothing less than what you really need."

The Gel 100 is completely different, it is made using hydrogel technology and consists of six natural ingredients. This is a biopolymer matrix filled with a unique mixture of fructose and glucose (ratio 0.8:1) and enables the mount of up to 100g of carbohydrates per hour. The hydrogel is particularly well tolerated because it encapsulates carbohydrates and salts and enables the nutrients to be transported quickly into the intestines, where they are finally absorbed. One bag contains 60% carbohydrates - a high weight to energy ratio.
